Alcohol and Other Drugs Services

The Counseling, Health, and Wellness Center at William Paterson University is committed to fostering an environment that encourages personal and intellectual growth. As we aim to address excessive and high risk substance use, our prevention approach strives to create an environment that fosters academic success, increases student retention, and promotes the safety and well-being of all members of the William Paterson community. The programs offered through the Counseling, Health, and Wellness Center, in conjunction with other entities on campus, are confidential and provided free of charge for students. We strive to provide holistic care for students struggling with addiction, questioning decision-making about alcohol and/or drug use, or with family members or friends with addiction issues.
