Consumer Product Safety Commission

Receives reports on injuries/death from hazardous manufactured products. Answers questions and provides free material on safety of products used in and around the home. Provides product recall information. Pre-recorded tape where you leave your telephone number and address. Notices of product recalls as well as safety tips can be found on the website.

Callers report safety problems on motor vehicles, tires, and automotive equipment, including child safety seats. Agency offers information on motor vehicle safety recalls and safety defect investigations.
