To the William Paterson University Community, Alumni and Friends


The Office of Veterans Affairs and Student Veterans Organization (SVO) of William Paterson University would like to invite you to our National Roll Call on November 11th.

This year's Veterans Day, or Remembrance Day as it was originally called, will mark the tenth anniversary of Post 9/11 combat. William Paterson University is one of 135 schools in 47 states to host a National Roll Call during which volunteers will be reading over 6,000 names of casualties in the two major theaters of combat – Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Included in this event will be fallen service-members family guest speakers, a running slide show of service-members killed in action from New Jersey, a color guard processional, and gospel choir performances.

Event Details

  • Where: William Paterson University Commons Ballrooms, 300 Pompton Road, Wayne NJ 07470
  • When: this is an all day event. Reading of names alphabetically will begin at 8:00 a.m. and conclude at approximately 5:30 p.m.
