2019 New Jersey History Day

The 2019 New Jersey National History Day State Contest took place at William Paterson University on Saturday, May 4th. This year’s theme was Triumph and Tragedy in History. After being selected as qualifiers at their respective regional contests, over 350 middle and high school students came from across the state to learn, compete, and celebrate history. The students were adjudicated by historians, professors, educators, and professionals in five different categories: exhibits, documentaries, performances, papers, and websites. The qualifying projects adhere to strict research standards and emphasize clarity and professionalism in their presentation. Please enjoy the pictures from this year's contest. We hope you will join us next year for our 2020 Theme: Breaking Barriers in History!
