In addition, Tonee is now the president-elect of the Hawaii Speech-Language-Hearing Association. https://hsha.wildapricot.org/PRESIDENT-ELECT-Tonee-Burley-Cary Miranda Van Dunk (2015) was one of 28 recipients of the 2019-2020 Governor’s Educators of the Year Award. This award recognizes the hard work of outstanding teachers and educational services professionals across the state of New Jersey. It highlights educational innovation, student achievement, and the services outside the classroom environment that lead to student success. Miranda was recognized for her work as a Speech-Language Specialist at Packanack Elementary School in Wayne, NJ. Christina Darius (2015) completed her Doctorate in Speech-Language Pathology (SLPD) from the Nathan Weiss Graduate College at Kean University in May 2021. Bridget Charlton, BA ‘20, and Dr. Nicole Magaldi are featured in this video describing how her education in CODS influenced her work on WPU’s Brave New Radio.
