The mission of the Speech and Hearing Clinic reflects its commitment to promoting clinical excellence and ethical behavior in the areas of evaluative and therapeutic procedures, preparing its graduates to interact successfully with clients and other professionals in a variety of employment settings, and ensuring the delivery of quality professional services in speech-Language pathology to individuals within the University and the surrounding communities. About Us: The Speech and Hearing Clinic at William Paterson University is a regional resource for a full range of diagnostic and therapeutic services for communication disorders across the age range. The Clinic is open in conjunction with the University's semester calendar. Diagnostic evaluations are offered during the Fall, Spring and Summer-I terms. All speech and language services and hearing screenings are provided by graduate students in the Department of Communication Disorders and Sciences under the supervision of ASHA-certified and state licensed speech-language pathologists and audiologists. Student clinicians and clinical supervisors also perform speech, language and hearing screenings at programs not affiliated with the University, such as nursery schools, Head Start Programs, and health fairs.
