In just a few days we will be celebrating Homecoming Weekend and Family Day. I hope that many of you are able to join us for a fun weekend of activities for all ages.

The weekend begins on Friday with my investiture as the 8th President of William Paterson University. This is a time-honored milestone event rich with traditions. It is a celebration of our community with a strong sense of history and a focused look ahead. These events will include a large procession across campus followed by a formal ceremony. The ceremony takes place at 11:00 a.m. in the Shea Center auditorium.  If you are unable to attend the event, I hope you will watch it via live stream at: wpunj.edu/president/investiture-video.html.  

Homecoming is another tradition of welcoming back alumni along with our current students to celebrate William Paterson University’s past, present, and future. Our tailgating party will kick off in Lot 2 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. alongside a carnival. It promises to be an enjoyable way to start the day before we support our men's football and women’s soccer teams. 

The weekend continues with A Celebration of the Arts on Saturday at 7:00 p.m. in the Shea Center auditorium. This concert features many William Paterson University music ensembles, vocalists, and choirs, along with some of my friends who will perform in honor of my investiture. I hope you will come out for a great evening in the theatre and support our students and faculty. The concert is open to the public and there are seats still available.
