UPinPC 6 Year Anniversary 

Our Vision:

United for Prevention in Passaic County (UPinPC) seeks to create environmental change relating to substance use by promoting awareness, communication, and support for all county residents.

Our Mission:

Prevent and reduce alcohol and drug use among the youth and adults of Passaic County by offering trainings, community education, sharing of resources and encouraging collaboration between communities.

Our Goals and Objectives:

  • Reduce Underage Drinking
  • Reduce the Availability of Prescription Medication
  • Increase Communication and Collaboration
  • Support and Collaborate with Young Adults
  • Increase Membership from Various Sectors Across the County

When the Passaic County Council on Alcoholism closed in 2011, the County experienced a loss in prevention coordination. At the same time the Childhood Drinking Coalition experienced a period of inactivity. UPinPC will fill the resulting gap by providing substance use resources and community trainings for the County. UPinPC will also strive to enhance communication and collaboration among the prevention agencies including support with the gathering and analyzing of local data.

UPinPC works to support young adults throughout Passaic County by providing educational programs, trainings, resources and support to develop substance use prevention initiatives.

Creates strategies and action plans to meet the three identified goals.

Provides accessible substance use prevention information, resources and updates to the coalition membership and all county residents.

Collects, analyzes and documents local data for ongoing needs assessment and evaluation.
