Instructor Bio

Anthony Pessolano, President and CEO of Global Beverage Corp: Anthony Pessolano is president and CEO of Global Beverage Corp., a New Jersey based soft drink company, and a 35-year veteran of the soft drink business. Before founding GBC, he retired as vice president and general manager for PepsiCo, where he worked for nearly 30 years with international experience in more than 40 countries.  He is the owner of multiple Sonic restaurants located in northern New Jersey and owns Joe Pop’s Shore Bar and Restaurant in Long Beach Island.

This summer Global Beverage Corporation and Welch’s, the Concord, Mass. based company, forged a partnership to lead an expansion of the Welch’s soda line with new flavors and formats. GBC is the exclusive bottler for Welch’s Sparkling Soda in North America, Mexico and Canada

Anthony is a proud WP alumnus, a 2003 Distinguished Alumni Award recipient, and a former adjunct faculty member in the University’s Cotsakos College of Business. He provided keynote remarks earlier tonight at the University’s Annual Scholarship Dinner.

Mr. Pessolano will discuss the evolving use of information systems in the Big Data ecosystem. He will narrate challenges faced at the executive level in IS choice decisions and highlight critical decision criteria in the choice of IS & Big Data /Analytics solutions. There is much at stake as we look into a hyper-accelerated digital future – Mr. Pessolano will provide insights into how the industry is adapting to the expectations and the opportunities that technological advances and big data analytics present.
