Cisco WebEx Calling to Possibly Replace Current Avaya Phone System At the end of last year, Information Technology Enterprise Network & Systems Services concluded the evaluation process of a new telephone/voice mail system. As technology progressed, and with a greater need for remote calling, we determined it is essential to enhance the voice service/experience. After an intensive review of multiple voice vendors, Cisco WebEx Calling is currently being piloted as the future replacement of our current Avaya voice system. WebEx calling features: Native integration with WebEx video conferencing and scheduling The ability to manage, accept and make calls using University laptop computers The ability to manage, accept, and make calls using the WebEx smartphone app Remote calling services without need for VPN An enhanced voicemail portal February 28, 2021
