John Parras, English, has written a new book, Dangerous Limbs: Prose Poetry and Flash Fictions, a new collection of innovative prose poems and flash fictions presented in a limited edition chapbook.

A new photograph by Robin Schwartz, art, of HBO’s breakout star Lena Dunham’s pet dog Lamby, was recently published in The New Yorker, to illustrate A Box of Puppies, a story by Dunham.  Amelia and the Animals, from an ongoing project by Schwartz, was posted to the New Yorker Magazine Blog Photo Booth.

Rob Quicke, communication, was a guest lecturer at the Asian College of Journalism in Chennai, India. In 2000, he participated in developing a radio curriculum and has returned periodically to the campus. On this trip, he helped students to set up a college radio station.

Aaron Tesfaye, political science, delivered a lecture, “Environmental Security and Hydro-politics in the Nile Basin,” at Princeton University. The presentation dealt with water scarcity and the politics of the Nile Basin among 11 surrounding nations.
