President Waldron Meets With Legislators

Meetings focus on the importance of maximizing state support for higher education

President Kathleen Waldron continues to meet frequently with state legislators to advocate for William Paterson University and issues of importance for higher education in New Jersey.  In these meetings, President Waldron has focused on the importance of maximizing state support for higher education and developing a dedicated and continual source of revenue for future capital projects.  
 
In addition to visits with legislators in the 40th and 35th districts, William Paterson University’s home legislative districts, President Waldron has recently met with legislators including Assembly Speaker Vincent Prieto; Senator Paul Sarlo, chair of the Senate Budget Committee; Assemblyman Gary Schaer, chair of the Assembly Budget Committee; Senator Sandra Cunningham, chair of the Senate Higher Education Committee; Assemblyman Tom Giblin, vice chair of the Assembly Higher Education Committee; Assemblyman Joe Cryan; and Senator Anthony Bucco, ranking member of the Senate Budget Committee.
