Stahl, who is beginning her 25th season as a 60 minutes correspondent, will discuss her professional and personal career as one of the first female television reporters. One of America’s most recognized and experienced broadcast journalists, Stahl’s career has been marked by political scoops, surprising features, and award-winning foreign reporting, a body of work that resulted in her selection as the recipient of the 2015 Paul White award for lifetime achievement from the Radio Television Digital News Association. In 2014, she won two Emmys—her 10th and 11th—one for a series on Guantanamo Bay, which also won the Edward R. Murrow Award, and the other on China’s huge real estate bubble. Prior to joining 60 Minutes in 1991, Stahl served as the CBS News White House correspondent during Carter and Reagan presidencies, and part of the term of George H. W. Bush. Her reports frequently aired on the CBS Evening News and other CBS broadcasts. During much of that time, she also served as moderator of Face the Nation, the CBS News Sunday public affairs broadcast. She is the author of Reporting Live, and has anchored several CBS documentaries. Currently, Stahl serves on the board of the New York City Ballet. She is a cum laude graduate of Wheaton College.
