MS in Sport Administration – Online

Expand your knowledge in the field of sport management as you prepare for or enhance your career for the administration level. WP offers a comprehensive 36-credit course of study leading to a master of science (MS) in sport administration.

The fully online master of science in sport administration program meets the needs of individuals seeking career advancement or entry into careers related to sports. This program combines real-world skills with theoretical foundations that prepare students to become outstanding leaders in the sports industry. Students with or without a sport management background will hone skills related to the leadership, marketing, facility management, and evaluation of sport-related organizations within professional and minor league athletics, community sports and recreation, and school-based programs.

Learning Outcomes

Students will learn to effectively research, analyze and apply data to address challenges in
the industry, employing principles of strategic planning to financial, risk, and human resource
management in sport. Students will also be able to explain and apply ethical and legal
concepts to sport decision-making and policy determinations.

Admission Requirements

In addition to the University’s admission requirements:

  • Online application/application fee
  • A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university and official transcripts from all institutions of higher learning attended.
  • Official academic transcript with GPA of at least 2.75 out of 4.0
  • TOEFL may be required for non-native English speakers
  • Name and contact information of two references (academic or professional)
  • Upon admission, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA or better each semester
