06/17/2013 – 06/21/2013 Dean Daryl Moore, William Paterson University College of the Arts and Communication, and Director Zhiyuan Cong, the Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson University, have visited Shanghai LIU Haisu Art Museum in China. They met with Director Jian Zhang, Secretary Xinhua Wang, and Rong Xu, Associate Director of the museum to discuss and evaluate the collaboration of several projects over the past two years. Both parties were satisfied with the cooperation and hope to establish a long-term, stable and consistent partnership. During the visit, they saw the new museum site under construction, and later Secretary Xinhua Wang accompanied them to Zhenjiang. They also visited the famous Shanghai artists Jialing Chen, Mengqi Wang, and Zhiping Lu.
06/22/2013 Dean Moore and Professor Cong were invited to attend the inaugural meeting of the Bencha Advisory Committee development in Shanghai. Dean Moore made a congratulatory speech, and Professor Cong was honorably invited to be the adviser on the committee.
06/22/2013 – 06/23/2013 Dean Daryl Moore from William Paterson University’s College of the Arts and Communication and Director Zhiyuan Cong from the Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson University travelled to Beijing and paid a special visit to William Paterson University in Beijing Advisory Committees, including Xiaoyang Yang, Lyusheng Chen, Yong Liu and Ping Li, to express appreciation for their help and support.
07/01/2013 Professor Cong made a special visit to Guirong Luo, a famous printmaker and Chair of Ningxia Artists Association. He also met with Northwest National University International Office Director and Academy of Fine Arts Director, to have a conversation about the possibility of art education exchange with both universities. During his visit to Yinchuan, he received a special interview with the Ningxia TV station and the Ningxia evening news program. Professor Cong also participated in special interviews and media news reports with CCTV 4 during the visit in China.
07/03/2013 Professor Cong visited Beijing Normal University, where he was invited to give students at Princeton University in Beijing a special art lecture series entitled "The Endless Life of Chinese Art: Conflict and Balance.” The conversation on the topic was carried on with Princeton’s teachers and students during the dinner. While in Beijing, Professor Cong also paid a visit to Changjiang Wu, Executive Chairman of the Chinese Artists Association and Jie Ding, Secretary General of the Academic Committee of the Chinese Artists Association; Dr. Huangsheng Wang, Director of Fine Arts Museum, China Central Academy; Professor Daquan Dai, Tsinghua University and Vice President of China Printmaking Committee, and Yang Fan, Associate Chair of China National Academy of Chinese Painting Institute. They discussed the possibility of further mutual cooperation and exchanges with CCART.
