Mack Brandon’s Spring Gospel Tour to Perform on April 12

Mack Brandon’s Spring Gospel Tour, a premier vocal ensemble, will perform at William Paterson University in Wayne on Saturday, April 12 at 8 p.m. The performance will take place in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus.

Tickets are available in the Shea Center Box Office in advance at 973.720.2371 or wp-presents.org.  Tickets are $20 for orchestra seating and $15 for loge seating.

Mack Brandon and his ensemble will present a soulful and spirit-filled compilation of gospel songs.  Some of the top gospel voices in New Jersey will be featured in the show, including members of the New Jersey African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Conference Choir and others.

Brandon has been directing for more than three decades, starting as a children’s choir director. Later, he became the pianist and musical director for numerous artists including Ben E. King, The Supremes, The Drifters, Average White Band and the Motown Revue. He has toured worldwide as a solo artist, opening for comedienne Joan Rivers and for country singer Clint Black.

Currently, Brandon is a music professor at Ramapo College, were he has taught for more than 15 years. He also serves as pastor of Metropolitan A.M.E. Zion Church in Ridgewood and is the director of the New Jersey African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church Conference Choir, which includes more than 30 churches.
