To promote the cultural and art exchanges between China and America, the Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson University cooperates with China International Culture Association to create and develop the distinguished visiting artists program based in America.
Gongkai Pan, a master of Chinese painting, Vice President of the National Artists Association of China, former president of the Central Academy of Fine Arts in Beijing, and former President of the China Academy of Art in Hangzhou is the son of the renowned painter PAN, Tianshou.
Lyusheng Chen, Deputy Director of the National Museum of China and Vice Chairman of the Beijing Artists Association, is a famous art critic, scholar, and painter in China. He considers himself a "contemporary literati painter."
Laurel Reuter, the founding Director and chief curator of the North Dakota Museum of Art, has curated countless exhibitions. She was invited to be a Jury member at the Smithsonian Institute in Washington DC (2010) and received a grant from the Robert Rauschenberg Foundation in NYC (2011).
Qinghe Liu, a researcher at the China National Art Institute; professor and Associate Dean of Chinese Painting College, the Central Academy of Fine Arts of China; first-class National Artist specializing in contemporary ink painting.
