Professor Zhiyuan Cong Visited Guizhou Minzu University and Beijing Capital Normal University

At the invitation of Guizhou Minzu University and on behalf of Professor Daryl Moore, Dean of the College of the Arts and Communication at William Paterson University, Director of the Center for Chinese Art at William Paterson University, Zhiyuan Cong visited Guizhou Minzu University June 23 - 25, 2016.

Mr. Xueli Zhang, chairman of the University Council, and President Mr. Wenliang Tao met with Professor Zhiyuan Cong, both praising the long-term student and faculty exchange programs between Guizhou Minzu University and William Paterson University, and speaking highly of their collaboration for art exhibitions and the 2015 Summer Art in China Program. Continued exchange and collaboration between the two universities is much desired.

Vice President Jianrong Tang, Dean of the Art College Jianshan Wang, and Director of the International Exchange Center Zeng Li discussed future cooperation with the Center for Chinese Art with Professor Zhiyuan Cong. Chairman of the Artists Association of Guizhou Province Hongwei Chen and Vice Chairman of the Artists Association of Guizhou Province Qiongde Cao exchanged plans and ideas for further collaboration and exchange programs between the Artists Association and William Paterson University. On June 23 Professor Zhiyuan Cong spoke on the topic “Hallmark of the Era: New York Contemporary Arts.” On August 12 he visited Capital Normal University in Beijing, where he discussed student exchange programs for Fall 2017 with Deputy Dean of the Art College Wei Chen and Professor Xinggang Wang.
