William Paterson Music Alum and Freshman Perform in Opening Bands for Bon Jovi This Weekend

Dean D’Antuono of The Revel, a freshman at William Paterson, and alumnus Robert Mahoney ‘17 of Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son, are the local bands Bon Jovi hired this weekend to open their April 7 and 8, 2018 concerts at the Prudential Center in Newark.

The Revel will open for Bon Jovi on April 7 and Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son will open on April 8.

Mahoney, a singer songwriter and touring musician from New Brunswick, graduated in 2017 from William Paterson with a BA degree in popular music studies. He also teaches guitar lessons. On their website, http://bobbymahoneymusic.com Bobby Mahoney and the Seventh Son describe themselves as a high energy, alt-rock band. The band was formed in December 2010 under the name "Seventh Son" in East Brunswick, NJ by Mahoney, Jon Alba, and Drew Agey.

Dean and his brother Dillon D’Antuono of The Revel (www.therevel.band) perform rock and roll sound accented by a classical influence that they grew up listening to. The band released its debut EP, The Revel, on June 10, 2017, including tracks “Come Alive,” “Stuck On You,” and “Taking Me Down.”
