NPR’S Selected Shorts: 'Behaving Badly' Featuring Emmy Award-Winning Sonia Manzano and Actors Richard Masur and Sam Underwood to be Presented at William Paterson University

Performance takes place Thursday, November 8 at 2 p.m. in the Shea Center on campus

William Paterson University in Wayne, New Jersey, will present Behaving Badly, a performance of National Public Radio’s (NPR) hit series Selected Shorts hosted by Emmy-Award winning Sonia Manzano of Sesame Streetand featuring actors Richard Masur and Sam Underwood on Thursday, November 8 at 2 p.m. in Shea Center on campus.

Admission is $25 for the general public and free for WP students with ID.

NPR’s Behaving Badly, is a performance of short stories about those who consider what is right and still do wrong. Manzano is a writer and actor known to millions as the character Maria on Sesame Street. She earned 15 Emmy Awards as a writer for the show. Her theater credits include The Exonerated; Love, Loss, and What I Wore; and the original production of Godspell. Manzano received a Lifetime Achievement Award at the 43rdAnnual Daytime Emmy Awards in 2016.

Masur is recognized for a variety of roles over his 45-year career in various television series, including It, The Hot l Baltimore, One Day at a Time, Rhoda, and more recently, Transparent, Girls, Younger, The Good Wife, Orange is the New Black, and Chicago Justice. He also played small rolls in films such as The Thing, Risky Business, My Girl and My Girl 2, to name a few.

Underwood is an English actor and writer, known for his work in the television series Dexter, Fear the Walking Dead,and The Following.
