William Paterson University Named Among Top Schools for Financial Planners by “Financial Planning Magazine” for Eighth Consecutive Year


William Paterson University is featured in Financial Planning Magazine’s list of 102 schools for future financial planners in the October 2018 issue – making this the eight consecutive year the University has been included in their list of top schools.

Housed in the University’s Cotsakos College of Business, the financial planning program was established in 2009 and offers a bachelor of science degree in financial planning. The program is accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International (AACSB).

Since the program’s inception, William Paterson’s financial planning majors have garnered top awards in national competitions. William Paterson was the first institution to receive the Financial Planning Association of New Jersey’s “Heart of Financial Planning Award” in 2017. In 2016, three students in the Cotsakos College of Business won the top prize at the Financial Planning Association’s (FPA) National Financial Planning Challenge held in Baltimore, MD. This year, William Paterson’s three-student team was among the eight teams chosen nationwide to compete in the final round of the Financial Planning Challenge in Chicago, IL.
