Tony Bennett and Diana Krall’s new album, Love Is Here to Stay, featuring William Paterson University director of jazz studies Bill Charlap as artist, arranger and co-producer, was nominated for a Grammy Award in the “Best Traditional Pop Vocal Album” category. "S'Wonderful," from the album, was also nominated in the “Best Pop Duo/Group Performance” category.

Charlap, who joined William Paterson University in September 2015, won a Grammy in 2016 for The Silver Lining: The Songs of Jerome Kern, a collaboration with Tony Bennett.

Not only does Love Is Here to Stay feature Charlap, but he also served as co-producer for the album, along with Grammy Award-winner Dae Bennett and executive producer Danny Bennett. The album also features The Bill Charlap Trio with Peter Washington on bass and Kenny Washington at the drums.

Tony Bennett and Diana Krall share their love of George and Ira Gershwin’s music, performing duets of "Love Is Here to Stay," "S'Wonderful," "They Can't Take That Away from Me" and "Fascinating Rhythm," among the hit parade of Gershwin tunes.

The 61st annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held on February 10, 2019, at the Staples Center in Los Angeles. The program will be broadcast live on CBS at 8 p.m. [ET].
