INFORMATION FOR
William Paterson University was accepted as a new member of Pi Gamma Mu International Honor Society in Social Sciences, based on the exceptional quality and quantity of the University’s student and faculty research in the Social Sciences Honors track.
“We are honored to house the New Jersey Zeta Chapter of Pi Gamma Mu, says Barbara Andrew, dean of the Honors College at William Paterson. “Our acceptance was supported by faculty and student research and the quality of the coursework available in the Honors track and the associated majors.”
William Paterson students who are invited to join the local chapter will have the opportunity to attend regional, national and international conferences. They may be invited to present their senior capstone projects from their major or their Honors research thesis findings.
Pi Gamma Mu stresses scholarship through its guest lectureship program, by publishing articles by students and faculty in its flagship journal, the International Social Science Review, by granting scholarships for graduate study, by offering opportunities for students to present papers at regional meetings and triennial conventions, and in many other ways.
