University to Present “The Linda Ronstadt Experience” Starring American Idol Finalist Tristan McIntosh on October 19

“The Linda Ronstadt Experience,” the premier touring tribute to acclaimed singer Linda Ronstadt, will be presented at William Paterson University in Wayne on Saturday, October 19 at 8 p.m. in Shea Center on campus.

Tickets are $25 for orchestra, $20 for loge, and $5 for William Paterson students with a valid ID.

American Idol finalist Tristan McIntosh, who finished in the top 6 on the show in 2016, sings the songs Ronstadt made famous in the prime of her career. Songs featured in the show include “You're No Good,” “When Will I Be Loved,” “That’ll Be the Day,” “Blue Bayou,” and many more. This repertoire spans from Ronstadt’s early days with the Stone Poneys, to the 1970s when she helped forge the country-rock sound with classic renditions of songs by the Eagles, Jackson Brown, and Warren Zevon, and into the ‘80s where she bridged the new wave sound into huge hits with her chart-topping tenth album, Mad Love. Ronstadt’s live shows also included material by the Rolling Stones, Tom Petty, Little Feet, and other contemporaries of the day.

McIntosh, who is a native of Tennessee, performed on American Idol at age 15. She has performed at the world-renowned Grand Ole Opry and the Ryman Auditorium, both in Nashville, as well as other famous Nashville venues. She has shared the stage with Keith Urban, Darius Rucker, Chris Young, Kellie Pickler, and Mickey Guyton, and performed at the CMA Country Music Festival.
