WP History Department Offers Virtual Field Trip and Live Q&A about Dey Mansion Washington Headquarters on Wednesday, March 10, 2021

William Paterson University’s Department of History in partnership with Dey Mansion Washington Headquarters in Wayne, New Jersey, will offer a virtual field trip and a live Q&A session about daily life at the Dey Mansion during the Revolutionary era, on Wednesday, March 10 from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m.

William Paterson History Professors Lucia McMahon, Stephen Pellegrini, and Louis Picone, along with Dey Manson museum staff, will offer insights based upon videos and research initially conducted for the University’s 2020 Jefferson Lecture series.

This event provides an opportunity to learn about the important role that the Dey family home played as General George Washington’s Headquarters during the summer and fall of 1780. After watching the videos, participants may ask questions during the live Q&A.
