Midday Artist Series Presents Interactive Music Show Choir! Choir! Choir! on November 18

Choir! Choir! Choir!, an interactive singing event led by creative directors Nobu “Dabu” Adilman and Daveed Goldman, will take place in the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University on Thursday, November 18 at 12:30 p.m. in Wayne, NJ.

What began as a weekly drop-in singing event led by the Toronto-based duo has turned into a global touring act, with musical guests such as David Byrne, Patti Smith, Rufus Wainwright, Rick Astley, Tegan and Sara, and many more, with performances held from small venues to high-profile stages like Carnegie Hall and Radio City Music Hall.

During the “non-traditional” show, there are no auditions and the audience is the choir. Each audience member receives a lyric sheet at the door and is taught an original vocal arrangement, and a video of the performance is recorded. The intent is equal parts singing, comedy, and community-building.

The show is free and the entire William Paterson community is invited to attend for a fun afternoon during common hour. Members of the general public will need to register online at www.wp-presents.org before attending.

This engagement of Choir! Choir! Choir! Is funded through the Mid Atlantic Tours program of the Mid Atlantic Arts Foundation with support from the National Endowment for the Arts.
