Violin Duo Sons of Mystro to Perform During Midday Concert Series on February 10

Sons of Mystro, an award-winning violin duo, will present their innovative arrangements of popular music in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on the William Paterson University campus in Wayne, NJ on Thursday February 10.

The pair of violin virtuosos that make up Sons of Mystro, brothers Malcolm and Umoja, perform music that reflect their Caribbean roots, American upbringing, and classical music training.

The brothers, accompanied by a DJ and drummer, use their violins to interpret reggae classics and American pop songs, covering over ten genres of popular music, expressing the lyrics with just the sounds of their violins.

Sons of Mystro are winners of the Best Emerging Artist under 21 Award at the International Reggae and World Music Awards and have opened for notable music performers such as The Fray, Sean Paul, Neyo, and Earth, Wind and Fire.

The performance begins at 12:30 p.m. Admission is free.
