William Paterson University’s student chapter of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS) won awards for Chapter of the Year and Distinguished Advisor from the national organization for the Spring 2022 Scholarships and Awards season.

Donna Minich Spuhler, director of campus activities, service and leadership at William Paterson, won the NSLS award as the chapter’s Distingushed Advisor.

“I am very proud of the amazing work and dedication that Karla Inchaustegui ’20, MBA ‘22, the chapter’s president, and her team have given to NSLS to become Chapter of the Year,” says Minnich Spuhler. “Their creativity with programming, fundraising and civic engagement has been outstanding. It is now one of our largest student organizations at WP, and I am honored to be their advisor.”

As an award recipient, William Paterson’s chapter will receive $1,400 toward annual dues, plus $100 each for up to 12 eboard members and a certificate of recognition.

Each year, the NSLS recognizes one chapter for the impact it has had upon both its members and the community. This prestigious award is received by the chapter that continuously demonstrates excellent leadership to its members, campus, and community.

The National Society of Leadership and Success is the largest leadership honor society in the United States with 700-plus chapters and over 1.4 million members, William Paterson’s NSLS Chapter was founded in 2015 and focuses on goal fulfillment, community and leadership.
