2022 Latinidad Heritage Celebration Features Presentations, Performances, and Civic Engagement Events


William Paterson University is celebrating Hispanic Heritage Month with presentations, workshops, performances, and civic engagement events during its annual Latinidad Heritage Celebration from September 20-30, 2022.

The annual Latinidad celebration at William Paterson recognizes the contributions and history of Latinas, Latinos, and Latinx people with events created and organized by its students, faculty, and staff.

This year’s celebration kicks off on Tuesday, September 20, with a keynote presentation by Rosa Soto, associate professor of English and Latin American and Latinx studies titled “The Power of Writing Our Own Stories.” The presentation will be held from 12:30 to 2 p.m. in University Commons Ballroom A and on Zoom.
