The Guess Who, Featuring Founding Member and Original Drummer Garry Peterson, Brings Classic Rock to William Paterson University on November 12

The Guess Who, Canada’s first international rock music superstars, will perform their classic hits, led by founding member and original drummer/songwriter Garry Peterson, in a concert on Saturday, November 12 at 8 p.m. in the Shea Center for Performing Arts at William Paterson University in Wayne.

Over five decades in show business, the Guess Who have sold millions of records and charted 14 Top 40 hits, including rock anthems “American Woman,” “No Sugar Tonight,” "These Eyes," “Laughing,” "Clap For the Wolfman," "Hand Me Down World," "No Time," "Star Baby," and "Share the Land”—songs that are eternally etched within the very fabric of pop culture history.

"You're going to see an excellent version of the songs and hear exactly how they should sound or be played," says Peterson. "We're coming at a new generation of fans who are seeing how the band can execute with enthusiasm. And we're also making sure the respect level remains at an all-time high for how the music was initially recorded and remains at an all-time high for the fans who have been with the band from the beginning."

Joining Peterson onstage are an all-star band of veteran musicians including keyboard player/flutist Leonard Shaw, lead guitarist Michael Staertow, bassist Michael Devin (formerly of Whitesnake), and lead vocalist/guitarist Derek Sharp.

Tickets are $65, Gold Circle; $60 for orchestra/front loge, and $45, rear loge. There is a 10 percent discount for William Paterson faculty, staff, students, and alumni, as well as senior citizens. All tickets are an additional $5 on the day of the show.
