StevieMac, which faithfully recreates the music of Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks’ solo recordings with striking accuracy, will perform at William Paterson University in Wayne on Saturday, November 23, 2024. The performance will be held in the Shea Center for Performing Arts on campus at 8:00 p.m.
Tickets are $45 for Gold Circle, $40 for orchestra and front loge; and $35 for rear loge. Discounts are available for WP employees, students, senior citizens and groups of 10 or more. Tickets are available at the Shea Center Box Office in advance at 973.720.2371 or wp-presents.org.
StevieMac performs the greatest hits from Fleetwood Mac and Stevie Nicks, including Stand Back, Rhiannon, Gold Dust Woman, Don’t Stop, Stop Dragging My Heart Around, Silver Springs and more.
Diane Lutz performs as Stevie Nicks with spot-on vocals and visuals that magically capture Nicks’ stage presence. Steve Ronson captures every essence of Lindsay Buckingham from his commanding vocals to his iconic guitar sound, style, and spirit.
Recreating the role of Christine McVie is WP pop music student Andie Baldwin ‘25, whose performance features the look, sound and note-for-note piano playing that Christine was known for. A senior at William Paterson, Baldwin, who is from Blairstown, is a musician, singer, songwriter, and producer who has been a professional musician since age 14. In addition to touring with StevieMac, she is a headliner at the Crystal Springs Cabaret, performing with Grammy and Emmy winner Hernan Romero, a well-known Latin guitarist.
“My passion is to perform any and all music, especially here at William Paterson,” says Baldwin.
Opening for StevieMac is Ginny Lackey and the HiFi Band, comprised entirely of William Paterson music students. The band is led by Virginia “Ginny” Lackey ’25 of Waldwick, lead vocals, and includes Baldwin on keyboards and backup vocals. Other band members include Luca Yannuzzi of Wayne, drums; Daniel Lipata of New Milford, bass; King Nathan Fernando of Wayne, guitar; Charlie Mezini of Washington Township, guitar; and Austin Sidito of Holbrook, NY, backup vocals.
Lackey is majoring in popular music with a minor in music and entertainment industries. A professional musician since age 13, she has performed with artists such as Kenny Rogers, Linda Davis, the Irish Tenors, Kelly Rabke, and more. She has opened for Norah Jones, Diane Reeves, Bucky Pizzarelli, and WP’s own Bill Charlap. Her single “Scared” is available on all major streaming platforms, and she currently gigs all over New Jersey with her band.
“William Paterson University has shaped me as a musician by changing the way I think about singing and performing,” she says, “from the priceless performance and music business guidance from music industry veteran Professor David Kirk Philp, to the incredible vocal instruction provided by the incredibly talented and Grammy-nominated Dr. Chris Herbert, and the friends I’ve met along the way, many of whom are joining me on stage for this performance.”
