INFORMATION FOR
Today, Thursday, Oct 02, marked an exciting milestone for student innovation at WP — the kick-off meeting for the formation of the Entrepreneurship Club. A shared vision has begun to take shape.
What made this meeting truly special? Eight students stepped up to become the founding members of the club, committing to build something that will not only support student entrepreneurs today, but leave a legacy for future changemakers. These trailblazers are laying the groundwork for a club that will host pitch nights, workshops, ideathons, meetups, and more - all designed to help students turn ideas into impact.
Being a founding member of a club like this is more than just a title - it's a chance to shape the culture, direction, and future of a community that will thrive for years to come. These students are not just starting a club; they’re starting an innovation movement on the campus.
If you missed the kick-off meeting, don’t worry. You haven’t missed your chance to be part of something big. The club will be meeting again next Thursday at the same time, and all students are welcome. If you haven't signed-up yet, sign up here to receive the zoom link for next meeting. Whether you have a business idea, want to learn from others, want to build an entrepreneurship skillset, or just want to be part of a dynamic, innovative, forward-thinking group, this is your moment.
The club will be advised by Dr. Steve Betts and Dr. Solomon Nyaanga from the Cotsakos College of Business, and supported by the Center for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship and Innovation led by Dr. Sarbjeet S. Rayat.
As Dr. Betts pointed out to the students in the meeting, "This is YOUR club." This is your opportunity to help build a club that will be known for big ideas, bold action, and lasting impact. Don’t just watch it happen — be part of it.
