Social Media Marketing, Undergraduate Certificate

Students will learn how to analyze the role of social media marketing and develop comprehensive social media marketing strategy using appropriate social media platforms. Students will learn to create and curate content and develop social media content calendars as well analyze engagement, reach and conversion rates for social media campaigns. According to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), the job outlook for marketing professionals is projected to increase by 10% through 2026 with demand for social media specialists trending somewhat higher.

While this certificate does not fully prepare students for these careers, it is appropriate for students in any major that supports a career in marketing (Business, Communication, English, etc,). Some courses in this certificate can be used within the Marketing or English majors or minors. As student earning this certificate may wish to add on the Digital Marketing Certificate.
