During the summer of 2016, I worked at Thomas Edison National Historic Park in West Orange, NJ. Working independently, and side by side with professionals in the parks Division of Interpretation, Education and Visitor Services, and Museum Services.
My experience at the New Weis Center in Ringwood NJ, was a memorable and enlightening. During my time there I learned many valuable things such as; how to run a non-profit as well as managing it, skills pertaining to maintaining specific types of gardens, invasive plant removal techniques, and building of a rain garden.

Jess Geary at the Jewel Cave National Monument in South Dakota, as a volunteer interpretive intern with the Student Conservation Association.
Aimee Aquino worked with the Student Conservation Association this past summer helping to protect sea turtles at Cape Lookout National Seashore in North Carolina.
Peak decided to station me on a large remediation site in Kearny for the entire summer, thus I was in the office only on my first day of work and the rest of my time was spent in the field.
