Nicole VonKuehlman, BS

Major: Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science Concentration in Exercise Physiology, Minor in Psychology, Class of 2016

Position: Exercise Physiologist

Agency: Atlantic Health System

Nicole is currently employed by Atlantic Health System as an Exercise Physiologist. She works at two outpatient Cardiac Rehabilitation Centers where she performs Phase 2 and Phase 3 classes with her patients. Her day-to-day responsibilities consist of forming individual exercise programs depending on the patient’s cardiac condition/ diagnosis. She focuses on improving their cardiovascular health and improving strength and flexibility. What Nicole has learned at WPU is used everyday at work. From taking blood pressure, BMI’s, exercise blood pressures, how to find a patients max HR, how to make an exercise prescription, how to read an EKG and the talk test. WPU placed Nicole in a Cardiac Rehab setting for her internship and has paid off in more ways than one. Her love and passion for Cardiac Rehab would have never been found if it wasn’t for WPU and the wonderful teachers that taught her that you can be whatever you dream of. I would not have known that this kind of job existed if it wasn’t for the WPU Exercise Science Team!
