Steven Knezevic graduated from William Paterson University in 2011 with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology, and in 2014 with a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology. His Master’s work took place at theResearch Center for the Medical Consequences of Spinal Cord Injury at the Bronx VA Medical center, where he presently serves as the Senior Clinical Research Coordinator for the Exoskeleton Assisted Walking Program. Steven’s focus of interest within the center has examined the energy expenditure of persons with paraplegia during ambulation with the exoskeleton. As a result of his local coordinating, Steven has recently been given the opportunity to Co-Coordinate, at the national level. Steven will be traveling across the country to various VA Medical Centers coordinating Dr. Ann Spungen’s Cooperative Studies Program Project, Exoskeleton Assisted-Walking in Persons With SCI: Impact on Quality of Life. In addition to his current work, Steven is also working towards his PhD Degree in Health Sciences at Rutgers University’s Newark Campus, in the School of Health Related Professions.

The Graduate Exercise Physiology Program at William Paterson University has helped Steven by laying the foundations for future success with coordinating and conducting clinical research (August 2019).
