The 30-credit Master's degree in Higher Education Administration at William Paterson University is an advanced and in-depth study of the history, structure, organization and administration of colleges and universities in the United States. The program is designed to enhance the professional and career development of current and future managers, leaders and executives within institutions of higher education.
This general practitioner-focused track within the Higher Education Administration program is a competitive option for students seeking to advance their careers in higher education administration across a wide range of administrative offices.
During the capstone course, students carry out a research project focused on an applied problem in the student's area of concentration. The MA in Higher Education Administration Program is grounded in the Professional Competency Areas for Student Affairs Practitioners developed by the American College Personnel Association (ACPA) and Student Affairs Administrators in Higher Education (NASPA).
