WP now boasts the largest nursing enrollment on any single college campus in New Jersey. Since 2019, the University's undergraduate nursing student enrollment has more than doubled, and graduate nursing student enrollment has quadrupled.

The American Council on Education (ACE) bestowed a prestigious national award upon WP President Richard Helldobler: the 2024 Reginald Wilson Diversity Leadership Award, for his outstanding contributions and demonstrated sustained commitment to diversity in higher education.
Jazz studies graduate Tyshawn Sorey '04 has won the 2024 Pulitzer Prize in music. A renowned multi-instrumentalist who is known for his prowess in both improvisational and experimental music, Sorey has performed around the world and released 13 critically acclaimed recordings.
