Senior Citizen Waiver

Tuition Waivers
Pursuant to NJSA 18A:62-3, the Board of Trustees of William Paterson University may waive the payment of the University's anticipated tuition revenues to accomplish mission-related or policy goals.


Senior Citizen Waiver 

Any New Jersey resident age 65 or over may enroll in regularly scheduled courses and receive a waiver of tuition; provided that available classroom space permits and that tuition paying students constitute the minimum number required for the course.  Registration is permitted on the first day of the semester/session.  Only the cost of tuition will be waived.  The student is responsible for all mandatory and course related fees.  Participants in this program must complete an application each semester and show identification to prove eligibility.  To download the form, click on this link Senior Citizen Waiver form. 

*Students who register for a course and selects to AUDIT the course are responsible for all mandatory and course related fees. Only the cost of tuition will be waived.

*Matriculated undergraduate students are responsible for filing a Free Application for Federal Student Aid (www.fafsa.gov) and providing all requested information to the Office of Financial Aid to determine financial aid eligibility.  The Senior Citizen waiver will be reduced by any State or Federal Student Financial Aid, grants and scholarship awards.

*Mandatory course fees include the Student Government Association and Technology Fees.
