Center's Director

Ana Siqueira

Ana Siqueira, PhD, is Associate Professor of Management and Director of the Center for Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship and Innovation. A specialist in entrepreneurship, strategic management, international business, and management of technology and innovation, Dr. Siqueira has published her research in the Journal of Business Ethics, Entrepreneurship Theory and Practice, and Journal of Business Venturing, among others listed on Google Scholar. She is a co-founder of Reframery, an online platform that empowers diverse individuals in various countries to develop socially and environmentally responsible organizations. Dr. Siqueira holds a PhD in management from the University of Cambridge.

Dorothy Kahlau

Dorothy Kahlau is the Director of the Women in Business program at Valley Bank. This national program is designed to support women during all stages of their career and business — from aspiring women entrepreneurs to well-established executives and anyone in between. Dorothy fosters connections and encourages collaboration between women to help them take their business to the next level. The Women in Business program hosts social and educational events that provide opportunities for growth, learning, and networking.
 
Dorothy joined Valley Bank in 1983 and completed Valley’s Management Associate program in 1989. She has held various positions within the bank, including leading the NY/NJ commercial bank, the NY/NJ retail bank, and launching a new business banking division.
 
Dorothy is passionate about the welfare of women, children, and housing, has put her passion into action by being the chairperson for the Advisory Board of the Paterson Habitat for Humanity and sits on the Advisory Council of Homeless Solutions, Inc. She recently accepted a position to sit on the inaugural Corporate Socially Responsible Entrepreneurship & Innovation Council of the Cotsakos College of Business at William Paterson University and is a member of Fairleigh Dickinson University’s Silberman College of Business Board of Advisors.
 
Dorothy received her B.A. in Finance from Pace University in New York City and her M.B.A. in International Finance from Fairleigh Dickinson University. She resides in New Jersey with her husband and two children.

  

Lilia Rios

Lilia Rios is the Co-Founder of La Providencia, a company established in 2005 in Passaic, New Jersey. La Providencia has a national presence in supermarkets and restaurants in more than 22 states; its line includes ethnic kitchenware, handmade arts and crafts, cleaning and party supplies. Lilia is also the Co-Founder of Nuuku, a boutique hotel located in the heart of the jungle of the Mexican Riviera Maya, featured by Travel and Leisure as a top vacation destination.

Lilia is a graduate from the University of Guadalajara with a bachelor’s degree in Law, an EPI (Entrepreneurship/Entrepreneurial Studies) from Rutgers Business School, and a Hospitality Management Certificate from Cornell University.

Lilia has 18 years experience working in the wholesale industry and 4 years in the hospitality industry. Lilia is a Board Member of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey and the NJCU School of Business Advisory Board. She is also a frequent speaker, panelist and keynote speaker for Mexican Business and Community Affairs.
