WiDS @ William Paterson University is independently organized by the Global Business & Finance Institute and the Cotsakos College of Business to be part of the mission to increase participation of women in data science and to feature outstanding women doing outstanding work.

The U.S. healthcare industry stands as one of the largest employers, encompassing hospital systems, insurance firms, labs, pharmacies, service providers, and technology companies. Its diverse workforce spans from doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals to administrative staff, support personnel, and specialists in technology and data. This presentation aims to demystify the pivotal role of data, analytics, and AI in shaping the evolving healthcare landscape. Focusing on population health, personalized medicine, and streamlined workflows, we will also touch on the current and evolving career and learning paths in this dynamic sector.

Speaker Bio

Pavani is the CEO of CognitiveHealth Technologies, an AI-driven healthcare technology company revolutionizing patient experience and financial outcomes. Committed to advancing women in leadership and leveraging technology for societal impact, Pavani's journey began in STEM programs during her youth. As the lone female executive leader of a 1500+ employee team at IDS Infotech, she achieved a remarkable 300% growth. Pavani further honed her expertise at a $10+Bn global technology company, managing the healthcare vertical business. Transitioning to entrepreneurship, she played a pivotal role in NYC-based tech start-ups, driving the development of groundbreaking digital healthcare products. In 2018, she founded CognitiveHealth, successfully integrating AI into healthcare. An accomplished Engineer and MBA holder, Pavani's global work spans the UK, Asia Pacific, and India. Currently residing in Livingston, NJ, she finds joy in travel, hiking, and quality family time, embodying a commitment to breaking barriers in healthcare.
