Internships

Internships are professional experiences designed to provide practical experience to students outside of the classroom and often lead to full-time careers after graduation.  Our proximity to New York City and year-round internship offerings enables Communication students in all concentrations to benefit from our extensive professional contacts and alumni network.  Communication students may complete multiple internships (paid and for college credits!) to hone their skills, develop lifelong connections and explore career options.


We offer both on-campus opportunities and external internships at major media networks, public relations, marketing, advertising and social media agencies, sports teams, entertainment venues, record labels, non-profit organizations and corporations.   Our department internship resources include alumni networking opportunities, career & internship fairs and faculty mentoring.  The WP Career Services office provides workshops, resume and interview help and even a career wardrobe closet!   Our Handshake app provides access to exclusive job and internship leads!
