If your passion is jazz, you will need to focus that passion into one of our BM degree programs: Performance, Music Education, Sound Engineering Arts, Music & Entertainment Industries.

Or if your passion is classical music, you will need to focus that passion into one of our four BM degree programs: Performance, Music Education, Sound Engineering Arts, Music & Entertainment Industries.  Or you can choose our BA Musical Studies Program, which is a more general, liberal arts degree with a classical music focus.

If your passion is popular music of some sort (rock, metal, country, etc.) and you're interested in songwriting, then the BA in Popular Music Studies is the right degree for you.

If your passion is electronic music (hip-hop, EDM, etc.), then the BA in Digital Music Creation is the right place for you.

There are opportunities for every student in any degree to play music in other styles.  For example, a BM classical Music Education student can still play in some jazz ensembles, but the majority of their time will be spent in classical ensembles.
