Rodney Hammond, BS, CHES Major: Health Education, Class of 2012 Position: Neighborhood Health Grant Intern Agency: Atlantic Health System at Overlook Medical Center Graduate Student: Community Health Education (MPH), Montclair State University Rodney choose to pursue graduate training soon after receiving his undergraduate degree in order to further refine his ability to support effective and lasting change in community health outcomes. During his graduate training, Rodney worked independently as an intern at Overlook Medical Center coordinating the Neighborhood Health Grant for Union County. Rodney was responsible for creating the new request for proposals, creating grant packages, acting as a resource person for selected grantees, and monitoring the implementation of the grant. Rodney states “attending WPU gave me all of the necessary skills required to make it in graduate school.” (October, 2014)
