Natalie Martinez, BS, CHES Major: Public Health - Health Education, Class of 2011 Position: Community Health Promotions Outreach Agency: Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital Graduate Student: Nutrition and Food Science (MS), American Nutrition & Dietetics Certificate Program (AND), Montclair State University After earning her degree in health education and the Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) credential, Natalie began working at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in Community Health Promotions Outreach. In this position, Natalie builds relationships with Latino community members and organizes a diabetes prevention and management programs that serves the uninsured and low-income Latino community in Somerset County. Natalie hopes to instill lifelong healthful habits through performing the skills she acquired through the health education program at WPU including program planning and marketing, program promotion, disease management and prevention education, and identifying potential collaborative partners to serve approximately 120 people annually. To further her training, Natalie enrolled in a master’s program at Montclair State University to become a Registered Dietitian. (October, 2014)
