Courtney Scheibner, BS Major: Public Health – General Track, Class of 2014 Position: Coalition Coordinator Agency: Partners in Prevention/Hudson County Coalition for a Drug-Free Community Leveraging her academic training and her experience as an undergraduate research assistant, Courtney was hired to lead Hudson County’s substance abuse prevention coalition several weeks before she graduated. Courtney is responsible for providing leadership to this initiative by facilitating meetings, providing workshops and educational programs, and conducting research to keep up-to-date on the latest trends in substance abuse. Courtney’s work focuses on youth – she is responsible for organizing and maintaining both a youth and a college task force for the coalition. Courtney works with a range of key stakeholders, including law enforcement, health care workers, government officials, and youth-serving organizations. (October, 2014)
