Jan Michael Quinit Ramos, BS, CHES Major: Health Education, Class of 2009 Position: Data Analyst & Prevention Educator Agency: Prevention Links Jan uses his program planning, research methods, and coalition building skills to support substance abuse prevention programs designed to serve the 550,000 residents of Union County, NJ. As the data analyst for Prevention Links, Jan is responsible for conducting ongoing research about a variety of priority substance abuse issues identified in the coalition’s strategic plan. Jan also develops data collection instruments to measure the program’s effectiveness. As a prevention educator, Jan works with elementary school students and senior citizens, creating targeted educational programs to meet their needs, including health fairs, family programs, and conferences.
