Dayana Bermudez, BS, CHES Major: Public Health – General Track, Class of 2012 Position: Research Assistant & IRB Administrator Agency: Public Health Solutions As a research assistant, Dayana uses her data collection, program planning, and research skills to serve a number of different populations and health issues including homeless LGBTQ youth in NYC, Hispanic first time mothers and their babies, low-income women, and children dealing with obesity. As an IRB administrator, Dayana’s responsibilities include organizing and updating all new protocols, quarterly meetings, and assisting with IRB applications. Dayana’s experience as a Public Health Major allows her to put assessment skills, experience with qualitative and quantitative data, focus groups, paper surveys, and telephone interviews to use while working with the Research and Evaluation Unit.
