Christine Huang, BS Major: Applied Health, Class of 2014 Position: Program Coordinator of the Women’s Health Department Agency: Charles B. Wang Community Health Center Christine is the Program Coordinator of the Women's Health Department at the Charles B. Wang Community Health Center in Manhattan. Christine’s day-to-day responsibilities include: assisting in grants management (coordination and implementation of grant-related activities; budget tracking; data analysis; writing progress reports), health education (writing newspaper articles, conducting workshops, assisting in creating health education materials), community outreach, as well as creating presentations for internal and external meetings. Christine considers this opportunity to work at CBWCHC a blessing – the majority of the Center’s patients are from the Manhattan Chinatown community, where Christine’s mother and father originally immigrated to when they first arrived from Taiwan. Christine says: “It's very rewarding to know that I am working for a community that my family was once a part of.” Christine plans to pursue graduate school, and is strongly considering pursuing a degree in Public Health with a Community & International Health track.
