Mission: The Center for Degree Completion and Adult Learning (DCAL) empowers adult learners to achieve their career and educational goals by providing holistic, individualized support for navigating university processes and overcoming barriers to success. DCAL values the passion and drive adult learners bring and helps them earn college credit for previous knowledge and experience through Credit for Prior Learning (CPL): portfolio assessment, professional training, competency-based learning, military service, licenses, and certifications. Vision: We will create a thriving community of and for adult learners; We will support this community by honoring and acknowledging learning acquired outside of the classroom; We will provide this community a wide array of pathways to degree completion as they seek to live the best possible life they can achieve and to attain their personal and professional goals.
